Everywhere seems to be buying “gilets” at the moment.
I got a chocolate brown one from Esprit, but H&M, Duffer, Energie, etc are all selling them.
By the way, they’re not really called gilets – they’re bodywarmers.

Jake’s on Berwick Street Soho is currently selling in addition to their usual eponymous t-shirts and Penguin polo shirts some cashmere jumpers by Burlington. They have some nice diamond styles in, which are a little expensive. Unfortunately Burlington appear to be a company without a net presence.
To return to Uniqlo (the stylish man’s Gap), they have a particularly nice style of jeans at the moment, at an incredibly cheap £20. The “one wash classic fit” is a dark indigo in a medium fit and come in a Gap-style variety of lengths (ie – lengths go up in 1″ intervals).
They also have a selection of cashmere jumpers, v-neck & crew neck in a variety of colours at £59 – probably the cheapest cashmere jumper you’ll find, but they’re not particularly interesting.
A recent trip to Copenhagen brought back 2 purchases.
a gangster-esque coat from Zara, and a jumper from Esprit (previously only notable for having about 1000 stores in Singapore).
Denmark is a very expensive place to shop, and pan-European shops like Esprit, which have prices in all the major currencies on the tickets illustrate this (an £8 Danish premium on the jumper).
